Course description

The goal of this course is to teach employees about issue resolution (IR)—a system for quickly resolving workplace issues by those directly involved with the issues. This course helps learners to understand best ways to manage conflict, the IR components, and the benefits to use this system as an alternative (not a replacement) for the grievance process.

Target attendees are mid-level leaders (in pairs). Each region’s management and local unions will define these leaders. Examples include:  KP mid-level management - director level and above at the medical center or hospital level, union mid-level leadership: stewards, chief stewards, contract specialists and labor liaisons; and UBT sponsors.
